DTH Regulator/ Mr Chaube,
I had been customer of Airtel DTH for a while, and a very aggrieved customer. My story reflects the current state of service being provided by Airtel DTH to their customers. Based on the harassment meted to me by the Airtel DTH, I request you please audit Airtel DTH track record, and if possible cancel their License.
Hereby please find my story below.
This is for my Airtel account 3007128702, I paid for this connection in February for a Airtel connection along with the recorder ( amount Rs. 3600), After I paid the money, I called them multiple times fo the installation, the customer service kept telling me engineer would come evening , he would come morning, but I never saw a face. Moreover they used to raise an issue, and close it even without checking if the installation is done or not. I called airtle DTH customer service more than 50 times during these days, but of no avail. A month back, they told me that they no longer install normal recorder, and then I asked my money to be refunded, for this also I have called more than 15 times, but my money has not been refunded. I dont understand what kind of service it. I have wasted money, time and gone through mental agony for such a small thing.This is for my account:3001382295, I have this account for a couple of years now. some 8 days back there was a problem with setup box. I raised a complain. The engineer came and replaced my setup box, but till date my connection isnt working, it had be 8 days, and I am getting no channels. I have made 25 calls to airtel customer care service. Everytime they give me an estimation of 1 hour, but nothing really happens. Till date this isnt working.
Based on my experience with Airtel DTH, I request you to please impose a high penalty on Airtel for worst service., and also audit their track record, and based on that cancel theiel license. I have talked to theri managers, but of no avail. I have called them so many times that I now know quite a number of people in their call center. But any attempt to meet them is useless, they have no office, no one we can really meet. Its such a horrible experience, and I wouldnt recommend Airtel to anyone.
I am a cricket lover, and my idea to purchase Airtel Recorder connection was to record the Cricket World cup, and many tournaments after that are already over, but the connection is still not installed, and my money not refunded.
