I got hooked to Airtel DTH thanks to free offer on purchasing Samsung LCD T.V.I got free subscription for six months.By the time I got the connection one month had passed.Then after 5 months when I wanted to renew my subscription, Airtel says my voucher was not updated and I have to pay 1650/- for connection. So this Free Offer is all marketing Gimmicks.So I decided not to renew and go back to my friendly neighborhood cable operator. Things were fine till Airtel started calling me to renew subscription, but I told them I’m not interested and they can take away the Dish Antenna & other equipment. One person from Global Solutions an Airtel DSA office at JP nagar, Bangalore comes home to take the antenna . But somehow convinces my wife to pay 3500/- so that we will get 2 years subscription.i.e 1 + 1 year free.We paid by cheque dated 28/01/2010. Now on 26th june’2010 my connection has been disconnected.
When I called Customer care, they keep us waiting and disconnect the line. Then I complained to Airtel Office in Jayanagar 3rd block, but of no use.then someone from Delhi call centre called me and he says he can speak only in Hindi. So I managed to converse with him with little Hindi I knew. He tells me there is no scheme where you get 1 + 1 year free. then I asked him to give details of the 3500/- I paid. He said since I had disconnected for more than 3 months , 1650/- has been deducted as new connection, then at 303/- per month it lasted till 26th june’2010.So all others reading this review please let me know what to do as all my complaints have gone waste. I have no DTH for last 15 days even after shelling out 3500/- for 2 years subscription.
