Just today I got airtel and I am so disappointed. I am using tatasky as well. Airtel’s customer support is pathetic. Their free offer of package is pathetic. Topup is not very impressive. Their user interface with STP is of poor quality.
Channel guide is total mess. browse the the guide and you will find poor quality of color combinations with tiny fonts with transperant background. this makes difficult for eyes to read the information on screen. to find which chennel you are changing, you need to find the channel number on the top right corner of TV in tiny small fonts. color combination of background and forground color is also poor, they use black, white and red colors. Just dont understand if they did and usability engineering before selecting such colors. These colors would strain your eyes.
I did not see even a single point where I can say Airtel is better then Tatasky. Buying Airtel is big mistake. I would say if anyone wants to go for DTH. Buy only Tatasky.
At first site one would think, tatasky is costly but the quality of service you get with tatasky is amazing. Also tatasky installation costs 1490 without any package. you need to pay about 245 to get decent package. With airtel, you need to pay 2000 for installlation and then everymonth 250 to get similar channels as of tatasky.
I hate airtel and feel cheated by them.
