Well, I’m a new user on MS and this is my first review….unfortunately, it’s about something I’m not too happy about.
I bought an Airtel DTH on Wednesday, April 1st ’09. I got an SMS that installation was at 4 PM Friday, Apr 3rd and the installation guys were promptly at home at the said time. So far, so good.
These guys did the installation with the dish and set top box and then used the Rs. 2000 activation voucher (I have opted for the Rs.2500 South Mega pack) and did the activation too. So, I am able to view the channels.
But my trouble began when I tried to add the Cine Plus top up which includes my favourite english movie channels. As per the Tech support people, my activation has not been done!! I have tried to do the activation using the same voucher, but their system does not accept it saying its already been used.
Well, I have seen the installation guys open the activation kit in front of me and it was not tampered with. I have already made 5 calls to the Tech Support and raised a complaint regarding this. Apparently, the activation voucher with my serial number is actually done to my account, but not reflected in my balance?!! Some of them even tell me to wait for some time, as though it will magically correct itself!!
I have done 2 recharges of Rs.500 and Rs.100, which are reflected in their database successfully. I was told that the complaint will be resolved before 15th April. But now, the issue is already “successfully resolved” and I still see a balance of negative 2000. The only thing that they have done is that until now My Account showed ‘NO DATA’, but now it shows so called negative balance.
So, until this issue is resolved, I cannot opt for any top-ups, or order any movie. I’m really regretting my decision to buy Airtel and I think I should have opted for some other DTH with better customer care.
If anyone has any suggestion as to how I can go about regarding this ‘not done’ / ‘already done’ activation, please let me know.
