I am severely regretting buying Airtel Digital TV. For nearly three weeks now there are a couple of disturbance lines scrolling down my TV whenever we switch on the Airtel Digital TV. This is a new Samsung HD TV and every thing else works great, DVD player, USB input from the same jack works perfect. The TV is definitely not the problem.
Have lodged a complaint with their customer service nearly 10 days ago and followed up Six to seven times. Every time these incompetent idiots have one excuse or another why they are unable to send a person over.
Checking on the internet it seems that the problem is the cheap power adapter that comes with the Airtel Set top box that goes bad very soon. This is apparently because of the cheap quality of Airtel goods being dumped on Indian consumers. This bad adapter starts creating an interference with the picture quality.
But watch out! Neither will Airtel fix it nor send anyone over due to some lame excuse.
Word of advice never ever buy from airtel. They will rob you, plain and simple. They have an atrocious customer service network and incompetent handlers at their customer care center. Stay far away from this third rate provider.
