I booked an Airtel DTH (standard) connection. While booking I specifically asked the customer service representative that I needed to get the installation done after 8PM in the night only as I would not be available at home before that. The CRS duly obliged and booked my connection through IVR. He had also promised that the connection would be installed the very next day (which didnt happen). Next day I had to call up the customer service to ask them about the installation status. They informed that it would be done the very next day. Next day morning a technician called me up and said that the installation can be done only till 5:30 PM after which he will not be available. I told him that in that case I will have to speak to his manager as I had told during booking that I need the installation after 8:00 PM only. For which he responded curtly saying that "Sir, you speak to my manager" and cut the call.
After this ordeal I tried the customer support 4 times over a duration of 5 hours. Every time I called they would say that a technician would call me in 30 mins (but no would call). After hours of horrific experience, they escalated my call and a lady told me that they dont do installations after 5:30 PM. This is the worst experience Ive ever had at buying. I would never recommend anyone to by Airtel. Im just stuck with it for the time being as I already paid.
