I took Airtel DTH 10 days back. I have been using Tata sky for a long time. I switched to Airtel because it provides more regional channels that I wanted. Unfortunately it has turned out to be a nightmare. The second day of installation itself it stopped working indicating that signal is not received. After one day the technician came and repaired it. Three days back again it stopped working. I have raised a customer service request and nobody has turned up till now.
The worst part is the time it takes for you to connect with a customer executive. The IVR system is pathetic with too many intermediate steps. Finally, you will get through only if you are lucky, most of the times it gets disconnected. Also the customer service number is unavailable on sundays and holidays.
Coming to the picture quality, you cannot compare it with Tata sky. The Tatasky normal channels are almost equivalent to Airtel HD channels. So you can imagine the quality of normal channels in Airtel DTH.
I am now trying to get my money back so that I can reverse one of my worst decisions.
