Horrible installation experience

Following is my 2-day experience with airtel DTH service installation process for my second tv. An airtel HD set-top box was installed at my residence on tuesday morning 14th December and was told the pack will be activated within 45 mins. When it did not happen even till end of the day, I called up the airtel customer care and was told its incorrectly booked as a normal connection and not HD! How can such an error happen when I have already paid Rs 3105 for the HD box and the same was delivered and installed! And till now, 2 days later, I have made several calls to tech support but there has been no solution.


I am just made false promises that the problem will be rectified within 4 hours, sometimes by next day morning, evening etc etc! And on one occasion, one rep simply disconnected the phone saying nothing cant be done! I am forced to believe how pathetic the service is and how incompetent the people are. This was nothing short of consumer harassment. The problem is not resolved till date despite escalation.
