I have used Airtel DTH for last 3 years, I am using the Magnum HD subscription which in the first year was costing 450 next year Rs 545 and this year they increased it to 650 per month. although some channels have increased but the price is not justified for the average quality reception I’m getting. My main problem is with monsoon season, even in slightest of rain the Connection is lost and I have to wait for the weather to clear out before things get normal again.
I made complaints twice regarding the matter last season and the technician did come home to check the signal strength but both time he said everything is normal but again as soon as clouds came the reception was disturbed. And now it’s monsoon again and with the first rain the signal is gone.
I don’t know how monsoon affects other DTH services but Airtel DTH certainly gives a lot of trouble during rains & yes it is very expensive, will shift to other operator once my subscription expires.
