I am a subscriber of Airtel Mobile phone services since March 2003. Initially, I had taken a prepaid connection which I continued till 16-May-2005 after which I switched over to postpaid since I had to go abroad and needed international roaming facility. Airtel took just 24 hours to change my connection from prepaid to postpaid, while retaining my old mobile phone number. I am also having Reliance India Mobile Postpaid CDMA connection as well as Hutch Postpaid GSM connection. But Airtel’s service is much better than any of these. However, I have found Airtel to be the best of these three in the following respects: 1- Network reliability, 2- Clarity of Voice, 3- Freedom from Network congestion, 4- Reasonable pricing and high integrity of billing and 5- Very good support services. Best part is that when I talk to my sons in USA and UK, the voice is always crystal clear and I never faced a disconnection while talking whether I was calling or receiving any type of call. Apart from voice calls I have extensively used for SMS and to my delight the service works perfectly. Overall Airtel services in Gujarat are reliable and quite good. In future I shall like to opt for Black Berry. However, I have yet to check out its speed for downloads of large files from the net.
