The Airtel mobile phone service is one of the oldest one in India... and thats the reason I chose that for my mobile. Another reason that makes it the choice is that its GPS, so you can change the mobile and drop the connection when you feel, without much problem. With all these making the way for choice of Airtel prepaid connection, there are some experiences which I have had which says much more information is required before deciding about the service provider for the mobile phone. First thing is never think service provider is trying to give extra advantage by any scheme launced, which usually happens every month or so.... When I had opted for such an offer of Rs20 extra talk time for only STD calls, I lost the normal talk time and the money which was charged for the scheme....,
The offer was like: The users had to get into the scheme, then Rs50 would be reduced from the normal talktime and Rs70 would be added to the special STD account, which would have a validity of 1 week. Now every thing seems fine, that you will get Rs20 extra STD talk time.....but what really happens.... These fellows enabled the service one day late....so I lost the money in normal account for STD and they disable the special account one day earlier...so the money which they said extra was gone before I could use it...... Imagine you are fooled straight
forward...and still you are convinced that the scheme offered you extra talk time...
If you didnot understand the scheme above and how they fooled everyone...follow the simple thumb rule that schemes launched other than the full talk time offer is all nonsense...Calculate the time and money advantage in any scheme launched before entering that... Of course if you are using post paid connection...you are at the mercy of the billing machine...
