I have been using the AIRTEL Services for a 2 years. ( I do not have a choice, because other service providers are equally WORST). I had a prepaid connection, which took 5 days to get activated. Earlier I was promosed that it will be activated in 24 hours. It never got. I called them up and got an answer that it will be done by evening. It never was cativated again. I called them in the evening, again was promised that it willbe done tommorw, by noon. It never got, the same thing continued for 4 days, when I finally wanted to talk to manager, they refused saying that he was busy on another call. I called up again and again and finally got through manager. He said that the documents I provided were insufficient. By the way I provided them my picture, office ID card Xerox, Driver license, salary slip, as they had asked. When I asked them what was missing, he did not had an answer.
Then I lost my temper and asked them to return back my documents or else I shall complaint against him in polce for providing me fasle information. AND then he activated my card in 1 hour. And that too without asking for any more document. I called him again to mock at him, that if my documents were insufficient as he said then isn’t that against the company policies, to which this guy shmaelessly said that there was some mistake and he finds that all the documnets were in order.
This happened some 6 months ago. I lost my cell and wanted to go for post paid by AIRTEL. They have a representataive in my office. I submitted the documents and was provided the number, which he said would be activated with in 24 hours. Next day , I came to know that it was already alloted. I was asked to chose a new number, but same thing happened the day after, it was already alloted. I asked for my documents back, so that they cannot be misused, he balatantly refused saying he cannot do that as they are already submitted. When I threatened them that I shall complaint in the police , then he gareed to get back with docs tommorow. By the way, always ask for your documnets, as I have already suffered a credit fraud earlier, so I always ask for documnets.
I tried to log a complaint at their site, but there is no email address mentioned neither could I locate an email ID. I searched the web and finally came across this page whcih has some mail Ids. I have mailed them and yet to recieve a reply from them. Please use the link below to send your compalaints to these people . SATUTORY WARNING- Do not expect any action to be taken.
I seriuosly recommend guys, DO NOT GO FOR AIRTEL. They are good for nothing. They only show goody goody in their ads, but the service is REEEEAAAALLLLLLYYYY PATHETIC AND TORTURING..
