Unprofessional services & extremely disappointing

I have been an airtel customer for many years now and they keep disconnecting the service once the usage has exceeded the limit without prior intimation. Even if there is an intimation, it is send usually in the evenings with 6 hour notification. Which means I am unable to make calls till morning until the payment is made. This rules out the possibility of online payment as well.


I had decided to opt for Vodafone and ported the number as well. I had cleared all payments before porting and the number got ported too. However some payment was pending before the actual porting and I was not intimated about the same even after I had paid my first bill with Vodafone. When I was unreachable the airtel customer care calls up my colleagues asking for my number.Ridiculous!


How can the operator access the contacts in my call log and make calls to them?


Isn’t this a breach of ones privacy?


Whatever be the justification given by the operator, this is totally unacceptable and irrational from a brand as renowned as AIRTEL!


Whats worse? My ex colleagues are being called and disturbed more than a couple of times regarding my bill payment. What sort of professionalism is this?


The customer care executive justifies their action claiming this to be routine. What right do they have to take the numbers from my call log and call up my contacts? If they were so keen they could have used the permanent available number, which they now claim to be lost from their system.


AIRTEL as a brand has tarnished the image, perception and the respect I had for it from the very beginning. Never will I be associated with the brand nor will I stand to advocate for the same.
