The basements, underground metro, everywhere you can get its network, hence I was impressed and gifted wife a phone with Airtel s sim.
First couple of months, it was OK and wherever it was an important contact she gave this number 97174*6.The abrupt illogical balance deduction became routine.
Despite DND registration as well as without subscribing VAS, she was disturbed with promotional calls, balance deduction for services she never subscribed.
So bad experience begins.
and goes on and on.
When we try to contact customer care they say first 3 minutes are free, but those 180 seconds you have to hear nonsense promos of AIRTEL ringtone and other services, that means they will charge if you attempt to talk to their customer care(?) person.
Why we are forced to listen those promos, why dont they say you will be charged for talking to their official.
Let us face they do not care for customers, so we ignored their cheating and started to keep balance low so that they can cheat only on small amount.
Then, one day while trying to contact my wife I got message this number doesnt exist, then I got some friends and relativescalls who wanted to talk to her but getting same message.
To our shock, when she tried to make a call it says invalid SIM¡!
I immediately sent a mail to Airtel, then I got reply( within 3day), and answer was equally shocking, they have asked me details of subscribers( mine), while they took all required I D etc. before issuing me SIM.
I am intending to move to consumer court.
Till want to raise an alarm for all friends out there, beware of AIRTEL.
lastly: I have a non verified info that I am sending for verification that this company is indulged in violation of rules related to radiations( secret of reaching in basement), if any one has info about it please do share.
As far as my experience I can not recommend AIRTEL to anyone.
