Pathetic experience

What happened that I had Airtel postpaid corporate number few months ago, which I requested to cancel in august 09. C. Care executives called me several times to renew the subscription contract for another year which I didn’t want to continue. I clearly told them to cancel the account rather cancellation. Airtel kept sending bills till next three months. & I kept calling them and sending emails to stop the number with immediate effect.


However I used that number until it was completely barred, But I am not denying to make payment for my calls ONLY .


But not only they left that number activated but they started charging me with standard Monthly rental and tariff charges after expiry of subscription, which never happened in this corporate postpaid number, My charges were so cheap with no rental at all


Now the question is " due to this deficiency in this Airtel bill I didn’t pay that amount and finally they ended with Rs. 2400/- Outstanding. Several agents called me to pay that bill, I am only ready to pay that amount which actually incurred while making calls and i.e.. just Rs. 823.60/- . but they didn’t agree at all . I DO HAVE ALL CONVERSATION IN MAILS . Finally, they sent me a Legal notice at my old place , but I don’t live there any more , so it was returned back now yesterday I gotta a call from a legal lawyer or adviser to appear in court .


I really don’t understand what’s to do ? . Now I really believe that was a biggest mistake I did when I approached Airtel . I do have one more corporate number from Airtel, but I think that the best to cancel all their services.


Please Give me your valuable suggestions , I really in need of this
