I am an Airtel Delhi subscriber for the last three and half year and over the years have been witness to the deterioration in service quality.
The signal strength in most parts of Delhi and surrounding areas fluctuate so wildly that it is impossible to stay connected for long. In the process instead of a single call, I end up making multiple calls.
Even when the signal is fine, the network bandwidth gives way leading to audio breaking up for quite a while.
The net result is that even though the call charges have come down, I end up paying more due to connectivity issues. The poor signal strength has also meant that I usually have to rush away from my usual place to another spot where the signal is stronger just to attend a call. Just aweful.
The quality deterioration started sometime last year and people at Airtel donot seem to have done anything about it yet. They are just hell bent upon increasing the subscriber base at the expense of the existing subscribers.
Would like to exit Airtel at the earliest available opprotunity and would also like to advise my friends to avoid Airtel in Delhi.
