When it comes to cellular operators then Airtel stands as someone who is better then the worst. Believe me, there are worse service providers.
Its network is pretty decent. It nearly lives up to the promises made in the advisements. Forget the open plains of eastern coast of India; Airtel’s Signal can be detected even in the forests of Dehradun. You can easily check it out by visiting the Asan Barrage and the forests surrounding it in Kunja Grant, Dehradun.
Then its regular schemes of extra talk-time offers do help people who use their phone for the nearly redundant function of, well making and receiving phone calls.
To tell you the truth, I have no idea about its strength in relation to GPRS (I hardly know its full form) or Internet but I presume that I can always use my computer for accessing the net.
Yes the customer care number is forever unavailable but then there are others services in which even the signal is absent.
Also its call costs especially the local call cost to BSNL phones, at Rs. 2, is really high in some cases.
Yet to sum everything up, as long as Airtel continues to give me Rs. 1000 worth of talk time along with 6-month validity, I will surely continue appreciating it.
And of course, before we forget, its advertisements are great too!
