Yes yaar, at least do something to these Airtel people apart from increasing their market with your extraordinarily beautifool smile. It seems that they are eating much more than they can digest. Their services in Metropolitan cities might be good but what about outskirts or small cities. My friend purchased a Nokia mobile from singapore and was fool enough to take Airtel connection. See his condition:
Pricing The only good thing about Airtel but at what cost. My friend got Rs. 495 talktime for one month in Rs. 495. So 100% talk time. (Escotel was offering Rs. 175 talktime in the same Rs. 495 connection). Was he happy? How much he could spend in a month. Any guesses... Just Rs. 165/-. Rest of money gone waste. Why? No no he has a very beautiful girl friend (otherwise why shall he purchase a mobile). She also has a Nokia mobile and talks a lot. But let us see the Airtel service.
Service Extremely poor in Raipur area of Dehra Dun (Sorry, I can’t comment on other areas). Signal strength always zero. If sometime it comes up in open area, as soon as you ring and start talking, it gets interrupted abruptly any time. And so no talks possible. While service of Escotel in same area is quite OK. I always get 16-48 percent strength.
Roaming Airtel was offering limited roaming facility to Delhi, Haryana etc. and this service has worked quite OK.
Messaging This is OK. It has worked well.
So go for Airtel only if you are in a Metropolitan city or in the centre of a city (near Airtel towers). Never go for it if you are at outskirts of a small city. Or atleast check whether you have an Airtel tower near your home or any service provider’s tower for that sake and then only choose the Cellular service provider. Never get fooled by Kareena’s smile as she is very smart you know (that way Escotel girl is also good and I like their slogan ’’Dooriyon ka matlab faasle naahin’’ and so I selected Escotel only) and in marketing gimmicks of the service providers.
