Let me before explaining things first state it clearly that Airtel Sucks.
I got an airtel connection some two months back. From the very beginning, they seem to be elusive on the tariff structure.
I wanted an STD connection but I did not want roaming. These people said STD will come only with roaming and that it is free of cost and I only have to pay the Security Deposit. Well, now that seems ok, doesn;t it? Even though you wonder why you have to take roaming facility for having an STD facility, finally if I dont have to pay for it, its ok right... But as you expect my first bill has Rs.30 towards rent for having roaming facility (even though I have not gone out of my circle).
And another joke is the Rs.50 you pay for Free Incoming Mobile!!! How can something be free if you have to pay for it ??? And even after all the Cell Cos announce proudly that cell to cell incoming is free I am charged this rent.
All this is ok. Till the 18th of this month I had not received the bill for the last month. I had called the Customer Care twice to ask for my bill.
Well, the Customer Care itself is a big joke. Why do I have to listen to some stupid Greetings Message, wasting my airtime??? and then to make matters worse, the Customer Care executive puts you on hold for some time. Well, finally I got through with the executive, the person asked my mobile number and my address etc., and I thought I was going to be given my bill amount online. After a few minutes I get a wonderful response - Sir, you will receive your Bill in a few days time. I had to waste some 7 mts to hear this nonsense.
Yeah finally I got my bill on 19th. The Bill Date is 02-Feb-03 and the Due Date is 21-Feb-03 !!!
This has happened to many of my friends also.
Again after this major tariff shake-up, I do not receive any timely information about what is the new structure, etc.,
So much for your Customer Service, Airtel!
