I am in Bangalore staying near Marathahalli. I was using airtel 2G internet on my phone. Since the speed was pathetic, I decided to subscribe to Airtel 3G data plan.
I was circumspect and therefore opted for a one day validity 10 MB free usage plan for Rs. 9 to check it out.
The speed was great, internet ran like a dream. I immediately subscribed to 750 Rs 2 GB free usage data plan.
First 100 MB of the 2000 MB free usage allowed, I enjoyed very good speed. I could watch videos without buffering.
Next 100 MB were painful, as videos required high buffering time and even browsing became slow.
Next 50 MB. Videos are a distant dream. the download speed varied from 2 KBps to 5 KBps. Even GMAIL refuses to open and asks me to opt for basic html version for slow connections.
Complaint to customtakeouter care. Called up these guys several times. Even sent emails to 121@airtel.in. I have stopped getting any replies to my emails.
The Complaint is not being resolved. The customtakeouter care guy sounds like the most dumb and stupid person I have ever spoken to.
It is learnt from other users, that airtel caps the max speed you can get after initial usage of few MB. If you are not lucky enough, you are very likely to end up like me with a so called 3G internet which is so bad that you cannot even browse simple websites.
Airtel! Shame on you for selling such a bad product and robbing innocent people!
