Update on 30th April: Till now, I received many call from airtel saying that they will fix, they will give me interest on the amount charged, they will send apology letter. But it all turned out to be a bunch of lies. What saddens me more is that a big coporation like Airtel is resorting to these lies, unethical practices, continue with all these malpractices and most importantly getting away with it.
Airtel has increased my broadband charges from 500 to 700. When I enquired, they told me that they changed my plan and the new plan is 700/-. As usual, when I told them that they cannot change without my consent, they chose to ignore it and said that if I want, I can change my plan back.
Since three months, I am on a ritual of calling them on I havent got any refund on the excess charged till now nor the plan chaged.
I asked them to send it in writing on the plan change and this is what I got from them. This shows their true intentions, the reason why they have not reverted back my plan since 3 months.

Dear All,
As part of the revenue enhancement drive,
we are planning to increase the rates for customers enjoying "Night
UL". Now the standard rate for Night UL is Rs. 199/month.
But as a sweetener, we would give Sunday
UL along with Night UL.
As a pilot, we are sending a Direct
Mailer only to Hyderabad customers. Count of customers on Night UL in Hyd
is 4105.
The customer would be given an option
of either exiting from the Top-up before the 25th of this month or continue
with the same at Rs. 199.
The DM is expected to be sent tomo to
the customers.
