In 99-2001, Airtels service(in bangalore) was awesome, a good network and a good customer care.
But then, as they say Nothing lasts forever, so was the service. Out of innoncence and ignorance, I had connected the airtel bill with my credit card (one of the worst things to do!!), and few months later, I realised that my bill is heading north and is reversed abyss.
I contacted the relationship manager, I got the usual bureaucratic reply Well get back to you.
But one fine day(one month later!), they called me up and told me that since my usage is very high, so they need to take out some mullahs from my credit card(fear of bad debt!!); and it was me who has to pay the interest on the card.
I was surprised to know that instead of awarding me for the high usage, they are punishing me..and they dont have an explanation for the same..
And that was the end !!..We got divorced!!..and yeah, I am happy now!!Finally, I got my Air to breathe..
2003-05:
I am back to airtel network, not because they are better than other providers, but simply because my company has corporate relationship with them...
Network sucks..call drops are a norm, customer support is as dumb as it can get.. and irritating messages (ads) are in..!!
