Iam senthil an Airtel user from chennai . If u are planning to buy or start using Airtel network , please think twice and dont enter the Airtel network finally. Give the preference to the second network in ur list .
Once Airtel was good in its service , but now it has the worst service . Now-a-days the customer care representatives dont even mind the words of their customers. They just want to avoid the customers and simply disconnect the call without giving a reply . I have the best example with me to prove my point .Here it is .
The issue started on 18/06/2009, I have made a request to airtel network to activate the Mobile office 99 plan (GPRS) . I have the SMS proof with me for that .The advantage of using this plan is that, we will get 50 MB free data transfer . And after that the charge will be 20 paisa /50 KB. When I received the bill for that month , I was shocked to see that the bill is for 906 Rs .
In this the GPRS amount is 499.20 Rs. what happened is that , this airtel has charged me 30p/Kb instead of 20p//Kb and they didnt give me the free 50 Mb data usage which is applicable for that plan . So finally they have charged around 400 Rs extra for my account . I have also paid the bill in excess including the 400 Rs for the month of June . I spoke to the customer care centre and they told that this amount will be refunded to me within a week . On behalf of that I have paid the bill even though it was wrongly calculated by Airtel .
I was waiting for the wavier to happen . But it was almost 2 months, nothing happened . For refunding this amount they take along time . I don’t know what system and what database do they have. But I know that it is equivalent a bull chit . Whenever I call customer care centre I couldnt get the proper response from them . They always need a time period of 4 working days to solve this problem .For every consecutive four days , I was fooled by saying the same above statement ( The problem will be resolved with in four working days). I have some Service request numbers with me as the proof of my conversation .
July 9 - Reference number (535394345)- The request for refunding the mistakenly charged , amount around 400 Rs was accepted . The invoice number is 62308074.
After that I would have made many calls to airtel Customer care network . But all my efforts were in vain .
I have even spoken to the Team leader of the customer care centre. They used to give me a reply saying that they will listen to the call conversation happened on the issue date and get back to me with in 3 days . But no use , utter waste.
