Don't go for postpaid to prepaid for Airtel

Airtel is TOO BAD when we try to port out from it.

I had a signal problem at my home and I have approched IDEA and requested to change from Airtel to IDEA.

IDEA had started the process and it was rejected by Airtel and I was getting monthly bills from Airtel and when I have sent an email, they would respond with tons of replies explaining the process, which I have alredy followed.

At last, I have cancelled my Airtel number and took IDEA(A new number), after getting it cancelled, Airtel cust care has said I won’t be getting any new bills if I don’t make any calls. Mistakely I have gave my new contact to them. They started calling me from the next day and suggested to change to Prepaid which would cost only 32 Rs.

So, I have agreed to do so after long conversation. After 3-4 days I have approached Airtel outlet and they had asked me to pay total of 120 rs. as there is unbilled amount, but which was different where the customer care reprsentative called me and said, so I have unargreed and got back home.

After few days I got a new bill of 90+ Rs. and getting calls from customer care to cleare the due. They were very rude with me. I don’t want to have any headache with them. So, went to the outlet and asked them to change to prepaid as it was not getting cancelled. They asked me to pay Rs. 180(which was different again here from Rs. 90), I have paid it. After I have paid it I was again asked to pay Rs. 150 for first activation fee, which is a mandatory, which I was not told prior, here I got a talk time of Rs. 55 and the call charges are Rs. 50/min for 1 year.

If they say these details clearly before suggesting prepaid I wouldn’t gone for it.

Please don’t go for postpaid to prepaid, if the no. is not very useful to you.
