This is to bring to your notice the absolutely disgraceful service from Airtel.
Number: 9997917567(Postpaid, UP-W with maximum use in Delhi)
30-01-2016(11:30 PM): Phone stolen
31-01-2016(10 AM): Number barred via call to 121
01-02-2016(3 PM):Duplicate SIM issued from ARC(Rajouri Garden, New Delhi - 110027) - with all documents(Photo, POI, POA, Form) self attested and submitted.
02-02-2016(9 AM): Called 121 to verify identity and activate SIM(promised within 30 minutes).
02-02-2016(8 PM): Called 121 to verify status. Told that the morning call had resulted in activation of my lost SIM and that no request had been sent from ARC to swap to duplicate SIM.
03-02-2016: Tried email correspondence with 121@in.airtel.com with unsatisfactory results - a new executive replied to every consecutive email, and never maintained a single track of action(one claimed activation till 9 AM on
04-02-2016 while another advised a visit to the ARC).
04-02-2016(12 PM): Visited ARC again. Met the mAnasultanger and was assured activation in 3-4 hours(and that he would keep me updated via email - something that did not happen).
04-02-2016(5 PM): Received SMS from Airtel that services had been set.
04-02-2016(11 PM): Have restarted my phone numerous times(even done a battery and SIM removal). No service.
5 Days. I have spent nearly Rs.100 in calling Airtel Customer Care from other numbers. Spent another amount in travelling to the ARC for a second time.
And still my number is not active.
What I could have done: Bought a new SIM on 31-01-2016, and used it.(Activation on same day by all networks).
But I decided to stay loyal to Airtel.
I have aishwaryasingh23ments that I need to coordinate, shipments that I need to track/receive, business to conduct - these are not personal problems, Im losing money because of your incompetence.
I have used this number for over 7 years, so naturally its on every single business dealing - from e-commerce deliveries to my bank(for OTP to conduct online transactions).
I will close this account and port to another network soon. Also, I have 3 other Airtel Postpaid connections which will receive the same fate.
I will also be posting this review on every available social networking platform so that people realise that Airtel, despite all its clever marketing, is not the "customer friendly" network that it projects itself to be.
I used to be somebody who advocated and advertised your services - thank you for turning me into a hater.
Regards,
Aradhya Kumar
