Please do not take AirTel connection, the service is not so good and Process sucks.
I have requested to close my AirTel connection 9740122104 on 4/10/2010 and there is no usage from my side on that card after 4/10/2011, When the bill was sent they have charged upto 10/10/2011. It is AirTel process to cheat as they were not able to meet thier anual numbers.
I have been really suffered from the mental torture and harassment from AirTel. I made to go back and forth get waiver of Rs 145+service tax by AirTel customer care. I have sent 60 mails so far and made more than 20 calls(toll numbers).
After all these, I have decided to the fight the case in Consumer Court.
