Got my prepaid conncetion converted from regular to LIFE TIME somewhere in Jan 06 , Since then I am using only the 50 / - Recharge option to make out going calls, I had checked out with the vendor all details before I could go in for this conversion. He said that I dont have to recharge at all for recieving my incomming calls.
I feel these were the benifits of getting a LIFE TIME and it suits me well.
I never make too many outgoing calls, usually like to message if there is anything urgent or just give a missed call sometimes, and the best thing is the 49/- dosent expire as long as you dont want to use it.But in the earlier connection we had to get it reactivated and then the balance would have been carried forward.
No hassels of getting it reactivating and paying an additional Rs 150/- (The lowest recharge value on a regular plan) but get only a talk time on rs 50/- just a simple calculation for 12months x Rs 150/- = Rs1800
Rs 50/- with a call value of 1 P per call A-A i.e 50 Calls
for a year 50 calls x 12 = 600 Calls
And you pay 1Re x 600 Calls = Rs 600 for these calls.
and you also may have the option of choosing 50P per call if can call up customercare.over here you may get some value for your money, by getting 1200 calls.
You pay Rs 1800 (Reccuring Every Year) at the rate of 1 re per call or 50 P Per call anyways.
But even the LIFE TIME has such an option ie.
(c) Night Chat - Call any Local Airtel mobile @ 50p/min between 10 pm and 7 am at no extra cost.

In a life time plan, you can make a limited number of calls i.e 2 Rs per call for Rs 49 ie. 24 Calls if you call during the day or quarter of that rate if you call at night ie. 50 P per call
ie.100 Calls (Yipeeeeee) PER MONTH
ie 1200 Calls PER YEAR (Same as the regular plan)
And you just pay 50 x 12 = 600Rs + 999Rs (ONE TIME ONLY) = 1599.
Next year you will be paying - Rs 1800/- or may be more per the requirement
I would pay Rs 600/- only if I stick to Rs 49/-
If any one disputes this fact taking into consideration that you are not a avid mobile user just have some small things to convey, i think LIFE TIME is a great plan especially for me and my family.
