Worst Mobile Service Provider

This is Debojyoti from Kolkata. I was a customer of Airtel since 2007 and in 2012 I changed from prepaid to postpaid that too as a cug customer.

First I saw that the signal strength is less in postpaid network, but being a loyal customer of Airtel.

I overlooked it and continue to enjoy their service. Until recently around the last quarter of 2015 I was ok with whatever I was using though around March 2014.

I started having some problem as I am recently posted at Krishnanagar ( which is around 100 km from Kolkata) and it tend to lose it’s network if I am inside my room for more than 3 hours. At first I thought it is my mobile’s problem and checked it out and there was no problem with my handset. Then I call Airtel Customer Care and complained about it and the executive told me to use manual network setting and the problem will get solved.

But guys as my job needs travelling a lot ( Around 100 km per day) , I found it painstaking to select network again and again whenever I am out of the previous coverage area of the previous tower. And around the last quarter of 2015 I heard about a very good postpaid plan from one of my friend who recently became a postpaid customer of Airtel.

So I called them up and sent mail to them asking them to change my plan and to my surprise even if I was a 4 years old postpaid customer of them, they told me that they can not give me the plan because it’s pnly for their new customers. I don’t know any service provider of any service that give importance to their new customer more than their old and regular customer. So I decided to opt out of their services and ported out to Vodafone.

To my surprise they sent me a bill of around Rs. 2548 saying I have used nearly Rs.1800 data on a single day, whereas my bill for a total month would remain around Rs. 700 only. I challenged their bill sent them many ( Believe me Many, just because I can not lose my mobile number at any cost) emails and called them a many times but as I said before they don’t have any respect for their old customers.

Lastly I sent my final email to them declairing I am going to file a case against them in consumer court and again after 3 days past that they replied to my email and waived off the total amount except Rs. 11 ( Can you believe they waived off Rs. 2537) to be paid. Can you believe if I have used that meticulous amount of bill they would have given me the waiver that too that much. So I would never ever going to suggest anyone about Airtel though I was a loyal customer. But the bitter experiences I faced in the last month has completely turned me against them. I am very happy now with my new Vodafone Connection, will post a review soon whenever I complete 2 months using it.Bye! Bye! Feel free to comment and ask anything related, I will be more than HAPPY TO HELP YOU
