When I thought of going in for mobile telephone connection I thought of Airtel because it has the largest numbesr of subscribers in Karnataka. I was also told that it has the widest network in this state. So I plumped for Airtel. I had three Airtel Cellular Mobile connections. However, like everything else in life, there comes a time to part. The last straw on the camel’s back was when the Airtel local branch advised me to go to a place 30 kms away to pay the bill. I decided that enough is encough and surrendered the connections. It is almost three months since. Any amount of pleading on phone, e-mails to refund the deposits made have all evoked mere promises made just to break them. I am yet to receive the deposit refund which is around Rs. 8, 000. Tdhe moral is: when you make a refundable deposit with Airtel, please note that refundable is synonymous with non-refundable with Airtel!
