This is regarding a call I received on my reliance mobile on 2nd Nov. 2006 at 10:30 am from 9867579181 (caller name: Ashwini, an Airtel Telemarketting Call center employee).
There is a description below of the incident that happened.
First, She never introduced herself and directly asked for my name.
Second, when I asked her who is this and why would she want to know my name, she says she is calling from Airtel and her name is Ashwini and asked for my name again…When I got on to tell her I don’t want to give my name and was about to hang up she asks me "If my name is so horrible that I cant give out my name?" (all this in hindi) and she kept the phone when I told her how dare she talk to me like that.
Third, when I called back on that number and asked her again how dare she spoke to me like that she told me that she did nothing wrong. I called her for an apology and told her to put me onto her floor manager. The entire team present there did not put me onto the floor manager and they all kept posing as floor managers laughing and giggling. Someone came as Tina as the floor manager, and then there was Sajnu also who spoke to me as floor manager. So, basically they were all playing the fool with a proposed customer.
Now Ashwini is continuously calling me and asking me for my address the last two days, Why?

So I’d suggest one should really think twice before taking an Airtel connection because if they cant treat their proposed customers well God knows what they’ll do after one becomes a customer.
