This is me vishnu from chennai.I was using VODAFONE prepaid card for the past 3years and let me say I never got messed up with any sort of issues let it be customer care or signal coverage or any balance related problems.i have never encountered single problem even once in vodafone.As majority of my friends in my circle are airtel customers they asked me to change my connection.Finally as my prepaid vodafone got expired I decided not to renew and choose to move ahead with AIRTEL PREPAID CONNECTION.
And now I really feel sorry for taking such a wrong decision.i will tel what happened to me.
On 7.12.2009 at about 8pm I brought a new AIRTEL prepaid connection by starter Rs.49/- pack.My airtel number is 9003182277.And after activating the card I put a bosster pack of Rs.119 and another 50rupess echarge.And the dealer told me that your sim will be ready to use by tonight or by tommarrow morning.
On 8.12.2009 I waited till 1pm for its activation but no respone.i cant make any calls and recieve any calls.It was keep on telling that my line is bared.i got very vexed and went to the dealer, he promised me to fix it by evening 6pm.But even after 7pm nothing got activated.I called to the customercare centre and told my problem.first the service guy told me to recharge by Rs.1 and your sim will be activated.I done it but no change in my connection state.Again I called those stupid customercare center.this time they told as per new scheme I need to recharge by Rs.21 in order to activate it.I did as per they instructed me.Again nothing chage and there was no sign for activation. I again made a call for third time at a row and for my shock this time they told me to recharge with Rs200 inorder to activate.I lost my hope and went into an heated argument with those idiots.None knows whats the exact procedure and each one saying each new stories for a simple activation.those craps are hopeless.
I lost my temper I went to the dealer and I demanded to refund my money as there was no activation even after 24hrs.The dealer made calls to airtel service people several times and atlast after 1hr the airtel staff came to the shop and inspected my sim and he told my sim got jammed in their system .And he promised me to get fix my problem by 9th morning.
But asusual as I expected no response.even on the 3rd day after buying the sim card.Now they are saying to wait for one more day for its activation and if not they will replace with another airtel prepaid starter pack.
For a simple activation even after taking my Rs.240/- and even after repeated attemts for my justice they are taking 4days of time and to my wonder still those idiots cant fix the problem then what for airtel is giving such false ads by SRK or A.R.R.?
I regret for choosing AIRTEL and I heared such problems are now common in airtel for its dealer itself.I will never recommend such a crap to anyone."THUMBS DOWN FOR ITS WORST CUSTOMER CARE SERVICES".
