Coverage and service good but my complaint is different.
With mobile and voip technology becoming integral part of goal oriented modern life, will it kill mobile and voip service providers if they charge 5 cents per minute of mobile or voip local call and 5 cents per text message so that people call or text for a reason and not to compare notes about cattle dung, thus allowing society to function effectively?
Here I’ve summarized havoc created by new worldwide free mobile / voip local call deals instead of earlier 5cents per local mobile / voip call tariff that ensured purposeful telephony. Problem is universal without any corrective measures.
Roughly a year ago when I visited a popular shop, saleswoman at the counter harangued with her colleagues for squandering time in voice calls while she worked on the counter. Her colleagues replied with giggles - ’Sister, how do we recollect money spent for mobile connection if we don’t call 20 - 30 relatives and friends daily?’
Another reiterated ’If we don’t make 20-30 calls per day, then amount spent for mobile connection is free gift.’
I was amused then. But it is no more amusing when
+We stand in a long service queue while service desk personnel happily voice calls or texts in mobile often
+A call interrupts technician working inside our home. More often than not, caller is his wife or sister or mother and conversation is about booking tickets for their outing. End result being a complete falooda (mess) of technician’s concentration. Finally repair job quality suffers.
+Calls regularly interrupt our taxi cab driver in busy traffic
+construction workers engaged in home improvement job often quit working for attending innumerable mobile calls and precipitate a disaster in building work because they have lost continuity of process.
Even a weighing machine at railway station charges 25 cents per customer.
