I started my mobile services from airtel 10 years back. But in the middle I changed to idea because it was cheap. In the earlier years there was no much competition but now it is severe. It was well said that there is no other network in Karnataka as good as airtel, in terms of network coverage, Airtel has strong network base and connectivity in all rural and urban area.
I used to browse the net and download wallpapers and ringtones on my Sony Ericsson. It was 4G equivalent connection at that time even though it was GPRS network. There were good offers on Airtel but call charges and minimum monthly expenses were too high. So it was treated as one of the costliest networks in Karnataka.
Because of technological advancement, now a days it is giving advanced services.
Some good things about airtel are:
1) Strong network range and coverage in remote areas
2) Domestic company led by Indians
3) Good customer services by advanced options
4) Convenience in starting and stopping services
5) Smooth app experience with all the options of call, sms and internet packs
6) Airtel money e-wallet experience in both app and in USSD(Unstructured Supplementary Services Data) code.
7) 129 store has all the packs which are easily selectable, editable and removable.
8) Trend setters in 3G/4G services
9) Availability of number of packs which are convenient to select and deselect
10) Easy control over the balance as you can review it as an when required
11) Recharges can be done from many methods sitting at home, through website, app, airtel money, different apps like paytm, internet banking, so you will never run out of balance.
12) Really useful for office use, business as you will be reachable always and at one attempt only you will get connected
13) Value added services like airtel wynk music
14) Innovative services like sharing data, balance transfer, night data money used 50% return all are really cool and unexpected.
Some setbacks of this airtel network are:
1) Call rates are bit costly, even if you use any pack.
2) Offers given on airtel app are not attractive & profitable to buy
3) Customer support in airtel app is not that good. I lost my Rs. 200 by making payment for postpaid, I use prepaid services. There was no other option for payment. After making so many complaints didn’t get any response.
Overall I prefer this network still enjoying the service. I also use BSNL and idea as other sim but it is not fast and convenient as AIrtel.
