AIRTEL'S verification service is humiliating

I am not happy commenting on the customer service section of Airtel, wherein subscribers are treated as criminals. Airtel Delhi has got far different policies, as compared to any other decent company. I bought Airtel’s connection after much thinking and surrendering my 4 year connection and relation with Hutch.


After buying an airtel connection I, was told that no value added service can be provided till the time some verification report is generated. After 3 days one of Airtel’s executives walked in my house and did that verification. Airtel service center did not receive the report till 3 days after the executive came in my house.


God knows if Airtel is trying to match up with Indian Postal Services. To top it all I have given my PAN no., bank account details, residence proofs, electricity bill copies and the security amount . I am sure Airtel suspects their customers to be criminals, hooligans or may be murderers. Why the hell would anyone need so many documents and so much time just to turn internet access on the mobile.


MY ADVICE TO AIRTEL : If AIRTEL needs any additional amount giving it a new name like security refund etc, let us know but stop humiliating us; I never had so many verification problems in getting my car or home financed. Please look into this very very seriously as this really forces us to think on our creditability
