With almost 10 mobile service operators in the market and with the intense competition in the Telecom sector, we often think that the one service provider we are using is not upto the mark and the others will be better. But after we switch over to the other service provider we find that the earlier one was good/better.
Network/mobile coverage is something which is not omni-present, it is a man made thing and will have its own loop holes. Network or mobile coverage will be excellent in some place and will have weak zones.
Before taking a decision on the network quality of a service provider, it is important to list down all the places which you visit during the course of of your day to day activity. It can be your work place, your home, your worship place, your market, your hang-out place, your friends place, your vacation place, your etc etc. Now check how is the network quality of the service provider in all these places and if you can find better network in 90% of these places then you are better placed.
Next you can also try with a pre-paid number of any other service provider, which you find better than your existing service provider and check their network quality, service quality, response time etc etc.
After check both the above checking parameters, then decide whether to go for MNP or not.
I can personally believe that Airtel is largest mobile service provider in India with the highest no. of customer base. If so many people across India is using Airtel network, then definitely there has to something good about it.
