Airtel is the best mobile operateor in its coverage area and range. although calls are costly than others. but in coverage it is everywhere. and now being an open network I think they are good. its data speed is also good. their customer service is also fine. on the charges side. it is costly than others like docomo.
I would recommend this if you mostly travel because it coverage is all over in india
