When private mobile operators came in this country there was so much excitement and exuberance for new services as everyone was sick and tired of the poor service quality standards of govt. operators.
After couple of years in the business and sizable customer to take care, their services have gone the same way. My frustration comes from my pathetic experience at one of the largest mobile operator in India AIRTEL
I visited one of their ARC(Service center)in Greater Noida.
Sheer experience was worse than visiting a government office:
Poor quality staff.
No organization.
Slow systems.
Trying to handle multiple customer in one go rather than addressing one issue at a time.
Poor knowledge of products I was told I wont be able to get a particular connection upgrade while other executive did it without even asking once.
Poor commitment value I was told that my new SIM would be activated in 4 hrs. It was not even registered after 20 hrs.
No management.
This is high time Airtel start looking into the operation of their customer facing ARC.
I dont know why people build a brand and invest so much of money on it when they are not able to live up to the expectation of the brand. Service quality and staff should be up to the standard of the brand after all company thrive for its customer and employees.
