Airtel marketing guys are THUGS! They DO NOT DISCLOSE CORRECT INFORMATION. They will hound you like cray to collect your documents, and once the same is done, they will not even do a courtesy call.
I was fully aware that Airtel does not provide 3G services natively in Maharashtra circle, yet the executive assured me that since I am porting in to the Airtel network.
I will be given 3G services, which has not happened. I call up the customer care, who tell me to latch onto either Idea or Vodafone to avail 3G, but that solution too does not work. I put the Airtel SIM in another 3G supported handset, but the same issue persists. Now Airtel tells me to change my SIM Card at a cost of Rs. 50, which will be added into my next bill.
And their 4G service too which my cousin uses leaves a lot to be desired, as half the time their routers etc are under maintenance, and the speed is pathetically slow. I have contacted the Appellate with my complaint numbers, but everytime the IVR responds back saying that the complaint numbers are not valid as they are closed complaints, and nothing can be done about it. I am waiting for the mandatory 3 months before porting out of Airtel onto some other provider.
This is my 3rd sour experience with Airtel, and as the saying goes, once bitten twice shy, I probably was stupid enough to go ahead with Airtel, but this was the last straw. I will be porting out 3 other numbers as well, as they too are facing call quality and call drop issues, and in spite of numerous complaints, Airtel has been sitting on its big fat backside doing nothing about it! PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT GO FOR AIRTEL! THEY ARE LIARS, CHEATERS AND INCOMPETENT.
