I am very UNHAPPY with the AIRTEL mobile services. Many people may be happy with their services but me I have faced a series of issues that has not been taken care of after repeated complains. A brief description of the series of issues:
> I stay at the pin code 560100 and what I have always felt that whenever I enter to my Apartment the signals always seems to be stuck somewhere and not reaching my phone. I stay at the Third floor and there is no interference of any other objects as I do get signals from other service providers with no issues.
> This is not only the case with my apartment. Even when I am outside on the streets at some part the signals almost goes off and I have to keep searching for them manually.
> Now any one can think that it may be an issue with my Cell Phone. I bet its not the case as I have tried different phones, tried 3 different numbers(sims), re-booted, set the frequencies according to the call centers directions but still no go.
> When ever I am in a conversation with some one after around 3 to 4 minutes suddenly I wont be able to hear anything and pin drop silence proceeds. Than what the call gets disconnected and I have to redial again.
> Cross-connection is something that I am so used to as 75% of the times that I have tried to get connected with somebody and I get connected to others. Sometimes its so funny as I can hear other peoples conversation who are speaking with each other.
> When I get more ANGRY is when I dial my Airtel no from the Landline. Its states sometimes that the Number that you are trying to connect is OUT OF REACH, and sometimes to my surprise "PLEASE CHECK THE NUMBER AND DIAL AGAIN". OH! enough. cellphone is in my other hand and I am trying to connect it by dialing the number with the other hand and still I am unable to.
This is not only the issue with me I have seen many other people who are facing these issues. Sometimes my neighbor cant even call me as he too gets the same irritating messages.
Now something about the customer service. I feel its very easy to get connected to one of their so called TECHNICAL SUPPORT AGENTS, but its really hard to make them understand what is the exact issue. You tell them interference they will state as CALL DROP. I mean do they have any of the canned responses which they should immediately read out to the customer. I always hate the line "SIR/MADAM please dont worry I have taken the complaint about the issue that you are facing and OUR ENGINEERS will visit the tower and will sort it out". They will give the time frame as 48 hours and it will be 48 days I bet no one will call you. Very unhappy with the services!
I dont want to state about any billing as I have never opted for the POST-PAID wala service. Thank GOD as I have done the greatest thing.
My suggestion to AIRTEL: PLEASE TRY TO IMPROVE THE SIGNAL STRENGTH, then bombard the OFFERS VIA YOUR ADDS.
People needs service not offers.
