I came up with a new review on AIRTEL.
I have tried almost all service provides like BSNL, VODAFONE, RELIANCE, TATA INDICOM, AIRTEL once in my time so far. So now i’m confident enough to Judge the service.
I have relationship with AIRTEL since 2005. Initially I was using pre-paid, which I was happy about it.
For a couple of years i migrated to AIRTEL Post-Paid. I would like to post some of my views about AIRTEL in this page.
Signal Coverage:
According to me, Airtel has good network coverage in major cities and towns. Whereas BSNL has good coverages in villages and remote places where there is no possibility of urbanization.
Airtel uses signal boosters in its tower which provides better signal strength almost at all places in your city.
Call Quality:
The quality of call in Airtel is the best among all service providers in india. Your girl friend will never fume on you coz you wont loose any calls in the middle of conversation. The voice clarity crispy and loud.
Vodafone is equally good in call quality but sometimes i got connectivity issues due to network lag.
BSNL is always crazy in this, during late night, you will get great results in it, but between 10 AM to 9 PM you cant tolerate with their call quality. frequent drops, cross talks and line connectivity issues, etc.
Reliance CDMA is equally good in call quality, though I should not compare CDMA and GSM(as the tech is different).
Call Conferencing:
Its a blessing from AIRTEL, One can conference upto 5 members confidently without compromising the call quality and loudness. Its simply superb. I use this feature more frequent and the charges are also reasonable for the service offered.
Vodafone is equally good in this aspect but BSNL is the worst network to support call conferencing feature. I shed off my BSNL connection only because of this.
Network response time:
Airtel has an excellent network response time. If I send an SMS, it will be delivered the very next moment.
While making a new call also, the time to get connected is relatively lesser than other service providers.
The most important thing is you can get connected in the first attempt itself.
Airtel has one more amazing feature to mention, even when you are travelling in a speedy train or Road transport the response time remains more or less same. This is something to be noticed.
Because whenever a caller in on the move, the towers keep changing from one area to another area, so there will be some delay in connecting to line as there will be lot of handshakes between towers.
In Airtel, its surprisingly superb and has fastest connectivity.
Customer Service:
I was using AIRTEL post-paid since 2008. The customer care is excellent. I was not disappointed in any of the occasions. Recently they charged extra by mistake(Due to server migration) during billing cycle, I raised a complaint to them, they added that the issues will be fixed in 5 working days but they solved it in the same day itself and got the cash credit back to my account. Such a wonderful service is there with AIRTEL.
The information you share with AIRTEL like you personal Address, date of birth are also protected very well. Every airtel customer have previlages to create a customer identification number in customer care for securing their personal information. Whenever they communicate to their cusomer care, based on the number verification only the details will be disclosed. This is fantastic with Airtel.
The billing is very transparent as i can log on to Airtel and See my bill statements, call logs, duration of calls, etc.There is no hide and seek.
Charges and Billing:
Airtel charges are slightly higher than Vodafone or TATA Indicom or other networks. The cheapest is BSNL.
But its worth in paying a little extra for all the above features. Who knows when emergency knocks our doors.i believe that the connectivity and good support is very important during such situations. So its ok for me when i’m getting good service, features and support.
So far as the billing part is concerned, Airtel is good if you make it through online, but Airtel Showrooms are very bad with inexperienced people. I felt this lot of times. Showroom people always give a wrong information and outdated in customer support.

Verdict:-
In my experience, AIRTEL is a wonderful network provider in india. Though they charge slightly higher, their quality is always superior in every aspect. I wish airtel to continue their good work and support to customers.
