Airtel In Mumbai is a total non-performer

I had used airtel in delhi and kolkata and had got decent service and therefore when I shifted to mumbai, it was my natural choice. But the service I am getting in Mumbai is way below anyone’s expectation. And its not just me who is complaining, anyone I came across using Airetl has the same thing to say.


Network is perpetually low and at many places around the city there are total cold spots. Customer service numbers are tough to get through, and once you register your complain, the executives are more eager to say, ’’ how else can I help you sir’’, rather than reacting to your immediate problem. I have encountered wrong connections on STD in the past(thanks god thats not happening now). Call time rates are erractic, they changed the rates twice within the first week of december. I have complained to the highest authorities in the company, but service hasnt improved significantly.


The service provider is more interested in giving out freebies rather than serving its current users. I deeply suspect their 1 lakh figure and even if its true there will be a reverse churn. The sms rates are highest in the country and the excuse is that they sms was free for the initial 3 months and they are recovering the money. If it is so, why did they give out free in the first place and during that time did they say that rates will be higher after the free period is over. They have cheated!


Airtel service is much below the standards of Orange and BPL mobile. Its high time, we disgruntled customers of Airtel get together and lodge a unified complain. You may contact me at dipayan05@hotmail.com.
