I am an Airtel Prepaid subscriber and was pretty satisfied with the service, but God off late the service has gone from bad to worse.
As per the ongoing scheme, on easy recharge of any amount between Rs. 700 and 829, one is entitled for full talk time i.e after deducting taxes. I had enquired about the same and on repeatedly asking and confirming that the same is applicable even if I recharge through online banking facilities. This was confirmed twice to be on a safer side. After being assured, I went ahead and made an online recharge through bank for Rs. 710 expecting to get a talk time of Rs. 636. This is where the problem started. Instead of getting a talk time of 636, I was credited with a talk time of Rs. 520. Repeated inquiries (reaching the customer service number i.e. 121 of Airtel is yet another task) and complaints fell on to deff ears and then I was told that this is not applicable for e recharge. This was really disgusting and I insisted on talking to a superior. On explaining everthing, they agreed that I did get some wrong information for the recharge and that as the fault was from their side, I would be given the remainder talk time and was assured that the same would be done within 48 hours. 4 days passed by and nothing materialised and after repeated atempts of reaching the customer service, I was told that there is nothing that they can do. I had no option but to giveup. Is this the kind of service one should expect from a cellular service provider like Airtel?
I do feel cheated and let down by Airtel.
