Hi, Am Baiju from Bangalore. Am using an Airtel sim in my mobile for a long
time. The network coverage of Airtel is good. But other things are the worst.
The worst one is their Customer Service. I am experiencing this for a long time.
Then I decided to note it down here and let you people also know about it. Am a
customer who is recharging for more than RS.1500/- per month. If am facing
bitter experiences from them I feel how about the normal customers. Now lets
come to the point. Why is said it is the worst. I lost my cell few weeks back,
in fact pick pocketed. It was a Friday night, 9th May, 2008. I called up the
customer service to block my sim so that my no.s are not misused. The agent
said that they cant do cos the facility is not available for Prepaid customers.
I have to go to a Airtel Shop and have to block the sim.
They dont value the
Prepaid customers or wat? Anyway I went to the Airtel shop on Saturday morning
itself. Airtel shops were not open that day while all other Service providers
shops were opened and working properly. Again sunday holiday for Airtel shop. I
got it done on monday only. Whats the use then? Already two days gone. The other
one is with copying a Hello Tune. On copying the Hello tune from the no. Airtel
dedicated for this purpose two times Rs.20/- got deducted. It should be only
Rs.20/-. My balance went to minus bal. I was not able to make a customer care
call also. I recharged and call the customer care asking them to file a
complaint and to credit back the amount. The agent said it will take 24 hrs for
the records to get updated. I waited and called on the next day and I spoke to
the Floor manager. He asked for another two days. Nothing happened. Again I
called and spoke to another Floor manager. She asked for 8 wrkng hrs. I got a
call next day telling that the amount will be credited back with in 48 hrs.
I
waited and hope that atlast Airtel is going to do something grt. But this also
didnt happen. Again I called the customer care and asked them wat is the next
step. Another Floor manager said the issue is not yet solved and they didnt get
any resolution. Then how come they said they will credit back the amount? Is
this the way to treat the customers. And for this simple issue they took almost
a week and not yet solved also. I had bitter experience of the call got
disconnected by 2 or 3 agents while describing the problem also. I request you
people to not to use Airtel service and if u have experienced anything similar
to this please share and react too... Please dont keep quite... I cant change my
sim now cos then I have to give my new no to all my friends... I am sharing this
cos this wont happen to u... with love.. Baiju...
