There was a time when our family was loyal to Airtel. One of the connection is like almost 10 years old. This connection was a prepaid and was on the name of my family member. When I gave the documents to convert this to a postpaid these idiot jack ass*s changed the connection to my name without even following the procedure for a name change.
For a name change you need the NOC of the person on whose name connection presently is and also from the person to whom you intend to transfer the connection. I had given none of these and these brainless idiots changes the name. Its been almost a year now I have been running to get the name rectified but nothing has yet happened.
The first time I went to get this done the donkeys and monkeys at the customer care gave me a list of documents to get for the purpose. I got those documents a day after and those as*holes asked me for some other documents. I have submitted the documents almost 3 times now, not to forget the numerous trips to their relationless centers but all they say is they are doing it.
The customer care executives act as though they are illiterate and are completely uncivilized. Looks like to save money airtel has got people from remote villages to handle their customers. All they know is Hindi even if you select the English option. They say one thing and when you go the relationless centers they tell something that is totally different and has no relation to what the earlier guy said. Their staff at the relationless centers also keep changing very frequently.
The person to whom you speak today might not be there tomorrow and you need to repeat the story all over again. They drive you to the brink of frustration by their laid back attitude and you feel like getting into a physical fight with those worthless executives. Moreover these ass*oles ask for documents every month and yes I literally mean every month.
If you fail to submit it then they disconnect your number without any warnings. If you call the customer service and tell them that you did submit the document last month and that why is it being asked again this month, all they say is that you have to submit the documents because of some government rules. Primarily I know government rules dont change every month asking for the customers to submit documents again and again.
Secondly why is it that only airtel asks for submitting documents? I have an idea and a vodafone connection and none of them have these problems. After being mentally, monetarily (petrol expenses on going to the airtel centers) and physically ( running time and again when these fucg assh*les ask for something new or threatening to terminate the connection) I asked for number portability as the number was very old and all the people known to me had that number.
There again these people started creating problems. I was to get it changed to idea and on facing this problem the idea executive I was in touch with said that airtel is doing this to each and every customer. They are harassing them to the core while switching network and making them cry tears of blood. He then gave me the email IDs of the concerned airtel people and TRAI and asked me to mail them keeping TRAI in cc asking for the required codes.
It was then that airtel ba*tards gave me the code. Not only me many other people I know also faced the same problem with Airtel. I seriously recommend never to go in for Airtel no matter what. It is better to be without a cell phone connection (that is what would happen eventually even if you get an airtel connection as either there would be no range or they would disconnect your connection for some stupid document) than go with airtel.
Between my experience is in Mumbai-Pune and Hyderabad circle. I am not sure about other circles.
