I have been using airtel around many states of India and I have come to know that its roaming charges are very high, so if you have to face national or international roaming then airtel may not be a good choice, you should rather choose something like BSNL which provides free roaming.
And if you ever want to use internet, internet packs that are in airtel are so costly. And customer services is good.
