I want to share an experience about marketing by Airtel company. The marketing representative of Airtel approached me by telling that there is a mergeir of MTNL and Airtel. You have to convert your MTNL land line to incoming only facility by dialling 1500 customer service centre of MTNL and it is compulsory to take Airtel land line. This will cost you less. That means bill will be less. she has insisted me to dial 1500 for that . But I was very much alert about this. I was aware of this type of marketing by teeling lies about mergier and sell their phone. How they will charge less when they are using MTNL network and they have to pay the charges to MTNL? Really I fed up of these malpractices in marketing. If the other private operators want to do their business why they are not offering good service in less money? The orange cellular company was offering mobile call for Rs.16/min. and when the MTNL has arrived in this business after facing many political decisions the orange has to come down in price. That means the orange was able to afford less price call. So, same with the Airtel. They are now increasing the price of their call slowly. All should aware of this tactic. Secondly now a days it is the trend that everybody wants to merge with MTNL .Any private operator in telecom sector telling the mergeir news with MTNL and trying to capture the market. Now MTNL is introducing IP TV. It is the first company in India to launch this IP TV. So, again the others may be finding out new tactics of marketing.
