Bad Customer Service

I had an old number from Airtel which was a corporate number. The number when it was alloted to me , I confirmed the executive twice if this is the new and fresh number. They confirmed that it is the fresh number.  After I filled up the form to allot the number to me, I received a call from an airtel executive that they will come to my house for address proofs and other checks required. I took off twice from my office on two different ocassion for this but no executive did arrive and finally a week later I received call again that the number is now active. I started using the number and to my surpise ( as I was told this is a fresh number) , I started receiving numerous calls for a different person(named Miss Suman). Not only this I started receiving call for another person (Mr Tushar ) as well. I reported this to the airtel customer service that the number is not new and is a used number. I told them that I have been receiving calls for twow different people a number of times in a day which is disturbing me a lot. I understood that the number ws twice allocated before me to these two people as well.


The cst service told that they could do not going to block such calls and I have to report the matter to the police if I want. I registered a complaint to the cst service and they offered me to change my number within 24 hours at a sum of Rs 500 ( again not my fault and then asking for fee). I told that the number is a corporate number and is used for my office work and is difficult for me to change the number . I agreed to change number but disagreed to pay the fee. The executive said that they could not waive off the fee as this is standard fee for number change. I then called up the cst service after been fed up and asked to stop the numbe. The call after much waiting in queues on cst service number was transferred to the retenetion department who then offered to waive off the fee for number change. But by that time I was so furious and fed up by the service that I never wanted to have the service from Airtel again in leife.


Not only this, if you wish to add GPRS on Airtel mobile you have to pay a monthly fee whereas the service is totally free on my new Vodafone mobile number.  To add the agony, at the time of buying the corportae airtel mobile number I also got airtel broadband connection. The sales executive who came to my house to explain the service did not give any information that there will be charges for modem rent as well on the airtel broadband bill . He told me that I will get discount on the corporate mobile number as well as I have subscribed to airtel broadband, I checked my two mobile bills after that but to my surprise on none of the bills were there discounts on mobile calls ( as told by executive, again a lie. I disconnected the Airtel Broadband service as well.


So the Airtel is nothing but full of Lies and lies and lies everywhere whether it is mobile for broadband.
