Dont buy 900 Series - No Incoming

I just wanted to point out that this review can really help people who are taking new connection and gettling fooled.

I just feel that anybody who can take a new connection after reading this, should register his/her name in national fools directory.

Airtel – NO Incomings calls to your Airtel mobiles.

Airtel is selling only the number series starting with 900. In this number series, nobody can call you from a landline phone or reliance phone.

Airtel is aware of this and even then they are selling these numbers ONLY without prior warning. **Airtel is cheating and fooling Customers by these practices.

*Airtel claims that it’s not their issue. However its airtel customers only who are suffering. Is it customer fault ???

Suppose your parents has a landline (may be housewife mother having only landline) then they can NOT call you even in emergency. Most households have landlines only.

Nobody from your office landlines can NOT call you. They have to use their personal mobiles. What’s the use of the mobile when people can NOT call you !

I guess this number is only best for actors and businessmen who don’t want to receive too many calls.

Customer service fools you, they told that I should switch-off my mobile and select the airtel network as manual. After that I will be able to receive the calls from every number. Can anyone believe this type of solution !!!

Moreover if you complain to Nodel office, you will get them after 1 week everytime. So your 2 questions will take 2 weeks minimum and so on…

Dear Mr.*,

Warm Greetings from all at Airtel!*

This has reference to your below email dated 10/07/2008 and our subsequent discussion, expressing concern over call connectivity concern on the mobile number .

At the outset, we apologize for the inconvenience caused to you in this regard and deeply regret for the same.

In view of the above, we wish to inform you that the number you are using is a new series that we have launched.  While other operators have allowed calls to this series, Reliance has not yet allowed outgoing calls to this new series from their network. Hence the Reliance number trying to call you is unable to connect to your number. This has already been highlighted to Reliance and as per TRAI’s instruction, we expect the connectivity to be opened in the next couple of days. Since the restriction is not from Airtel’s end, you will be able to make calls from your number to all phones, including Reliance.

Should you require any further clarifications, please do call our 24-hour Customer Care on 121 [toll free] from your Airtel mobile or 98450 98450 from all other phones. You could e mail us at 121@airtelindia.com.

We assure you the best of our services at all times. *

Warm regards,

Bhargavi Sharma*
