I am an airtel post paid customer. tele no 9906935257 in j&K. Their competitors are providing gprs without any hassles yet these people are charging a hefty amt and still not providing this service in this particular circle. They are adopting a step motherly attitude towards Kashmiris and army personnel posted there, a vast chunk of whom form their clientle.
Even they have not bothered to get their rentals at par with rest of india. Calling them is also of no use as their staff manning tele helpline are poorly trained and worst of all you can never get connected to prepaid helpline. The only solace however is that they have penetrated the remotest of the corners to provide good coverage.Contacting them to enquire about starting GPRS service too proved fruitless. I have nothing else to write except to sum up that they loot and give wonky replies
