Sometimes very irritating

As long as there were no special requests, Airtel was quite good.


The problem comes when they have to deal with any change.1. I cancelled my GPRS but continued to be billed for it. It took me over 3 months and 10s of calls to finally "prove" my point and get the charges reversed.2. I did not opt for CLID. Yet, I was given it and billed. When I complained, they removed the CLID but continued to bill me.3. When I asked for a transfer to another city, they said it would not be possible. So, I got 3 numbers disconnected. However, the numbers were continuing to bill.


They had not really disconnected them. I believe this was deliberate, or how come the same case applied to all 3 numbers of mine? In one case, they quite boldly lied to me saying that I had asked to keep the numbers. Note: All this communication was using email and not just calls. Also interestingly, the same case has happened with a friend of mine who has just transferred to another city. It took me several communications to get things done.


I will advise that keep airtel but don’t keep any expectations. Keep airtel only for the same services always. They cannot handle change.


Recommending them only because they are at least having few connectivity issues. Other vendors are pathetic.
